Every home should have fire extinguishers. Fire extinguishers should be stored in areas where the temperature does not reach below -40 or higher than 120 degrees Fahrenheit. CO is carbon monoxide alarms, which is more common than fires, although fires are reaching the charts. Carbon monoxide is called the “Silent Killer,” which claims a life each day. In addition, the lives it does not claim, it causes harm to thousands of other people. The alarms are affordable, so there is no reason not to make a purchase.

Once you install your fire alarm and CO alarm you will need to test the devices weekly, and replace the batteries regularly. Most states now make it a mandatory law to install fire alarms, yet it is a shame they do not make mandatory test laws. The reason most people die from fire or carbon monoxide is that they do not test the device to make sure it is working properly. All it takes is a few minutes of your time.
Keep in mind that you should also dust your smoke alarm and CO alarm regularly. Dust particles can cause your devices to sound off. The new smoke and carbon alarms have horn sounds nowadays, which sound, beep, pause, sound, beep, and pause again. The sound is one you want to get use to, yet, you do not want practice from dust-eroded devices. Cleaning only takes a few minutes, do it.
TIP: Never put off what you can do today. The largest problems in the world come from people who put off cleaning, testing, etc, which these people fall victim in many instances to unforeseen occurrences.
